I just danced with my mom in my kitchen. And I'll be darned I still couldn't follow her steps. Never did master that little two step thing she tried to teach me over the years in random rooms throughout our house. I know well I was dancing alone but with brown eyes closed and Alison Krauss in my headphones it only took a bar or two of "Atlanta" to feel her grab me and twirl me around the living room. And I laughed all by my lonesome at how I would stumble on her swift feet and she never seemed to care. And I missed her more than I've missed her in a long time. Such a very, long time.

About Me
- Name:ret
- Location:Illinois, United States
Life is about as good as it gets right now. I have an awesome husband who keeps hanging around despite my many practical jokes; a newly married daughter, who is the light of my heart & the most wonderful son-in-law in my world. I have the most wonderful sister in the world and adore her family to bits. I have many good friends and a few really close ones. I've learned enough in the last couple years to know I'm never quite sure where God is taking me, but I know it will be an amazing ride in the end...
